How you can participate in the Giving Challenge
Each participating organization will receive a 1-1 matching donation for each donation given from Tuesday, noon May 1 to noon May 2. Your donation to each organization to which you give will be doubled.
On May 1, the Punta Gorda Historical Society will be holding an event at the Woman's Club-details to come. On May 2, there will be an event at the Punta Gorda History Center-stay tuned. You can join us at these events for the fun and food and we will help you with your donations.
The Giving Challenge is a unique opportunity to double the impact of your support! How you can participate:
1. Donate to the Giving Challenge from noon May 1 to noon the 2nd. Donations are individual - and can come from a person or business or organization, but each donation must be on a separate, unique credit card. (Example both John and Jane Doe can give a separate donation and so can their business or organization, but each donation must be on a separate credit or debit card).
2. On May 1 and 2 from noon to noon go to the Giving Challenge homepage www.givingpartnerchallenge.org and search for Punta Gorda History Center and/or the Punta Gorda Historical Society. You can also go to the websites of either organization www.puntagordahistory.com or www.puntagordahistorycenter.com and follow the links. Enter your gift of $25 or more and receive an e-mail receipt from the Giving Challenge. The Patterson Foundation will provide a 1:1 match for each online donor's contribution - up to $100 per donor, per organization.
3. Encourage your friends and family to donate. Cal! or email this information to at least 5 friends.
4. Share our information and posts on social media with your friends on Facebook, Twitter, etc. Remember the Giving Challenge is a community-wide event, and this is a chance for you to support your Charlotte County charities that are participating.
All donations must be made online. If you need any help with your donation, please contact us (941) 916-8800 or (941) 639-1887 and we will help with this.
All donations are irrevocable and will be for the unrestricted use of your chosen charity. Secure donations for the Giving Challenge are provided through KIMBIA to donors entering their own credit card information directly on the giving site.
